Saturated coloured light and its role in the night-time environment

Developments in urban lighting and new lighting technologies have led to diverse night-time images of the city. At the same time as we see an increase in saturated coloured lighting, scientists are learning more about how colours affect humans on a biological and psychological level. The aim of the paper is to investigate whether saturated coloured lighting does indeed improve the public realm and what impression it makes on the people walking the streets at night.
