Alison Ritter, B.A. Hons, PGCE, FPLDA studied German language in Great Britain and she is teacher by profession. She has experience in translating for 20 years and is specialised on the topic of lighting design and lighting engineering. She was one of the founders of Professional Lighting Designers’ Association, PLDA (since 1994, former ELDA+) and she was responsible for the management and organisation in the PLDA Head Office, as well as for Events and education. 
Currently, Alison dedicates her time facilitating Continuing Professional Development for lighting designers.
