The three-day conference programme at PLDC provides many impulses for discussion and debate that often continue after the speakers’ presentations.
Some topics and focus groups require additional time, which will again be catered for in the form of pre-convention meetings.
Pre-convention meetings will take place in the course of Wednesday, 28. October, 2015 preceeding the opening reception in the evening.
Work groups from the field of lighting education and professional practice, for example, will thus be able to report on the status quo of their efforts and exchange ideas on the further pursuit of their defined targets.
One pre-convention meeting is to be dedicated to the Partner Cities of PLDC in order to create a platform for them to present their efforts to raise the quality of lighting in their cities and open up new perspectives for lighting in the public realm. This meeting will include lighting designers, urban and landscape planners, and researchers from the field to enhance networking opportunities.
An Experience Room dedicated to New Perspectives in Urban Lighting will offer a further chance for those interested to continue discussions during the ensuing conference days.
