PLDR Awards shortlist out now

PLDC 2013 will conclude with a Grand Gala Evening at which the Professional Lighting Design Recognition Awards will be presented. The aim of the awards is to recognise those individuals, practices, institutions or manufacturers who have most contributed in their work, actions and deeds to the advancement of the field of Architectural Lighting Design.
The PLDC Recognition Awards format is not based on submitted entries A Call for Nominations was issued b the PLDC team of organisers. All nominations were discussed and short lists for the Award out together by a jury consisting of experienced professionals from the international lighting design community.

The Lighting Research Center to support PLDC 2013 as a Partner Institute

We are happy to announce that The Lighting Research Center have decided to partner PLDC 2013.

The Lighting Research Center (LRC) is part of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. It is a university-based research and education organization devoted to lighting - from technologies to applications and energy use, from design to health and vision. Since LRC began in 1988, they have built an international reputation as a reliable source for objective information about lighting technologies, applications, and products. LRC provides training programs for government agencies, utilities, contractors, lighting designers, and other lighting professionals.

PLDC 2013 is the second year that The Lighting Research Center will be partnering the event.
