Gala Dinner and PLDR Awards
Traditionally, PLDC will conclude with a Gala Dinner on Saturday, 2. November, 2013. The evening will comprise a seated dinner and the Awards Show during which the Professional Lighting Design Recognition Awards will be presented to individuals, organisations and institutions to recognize their work, actions and achievements that have contributed to the advancement of Architectural Lighting Design.
The evening will conclude with yet another unforgettable after-show party. Although the set-up for the evening will remain basically unchanged, rest assured that the PLDC organisers will come up with some special highlights to make the evening even more memorable.
PLDR Awards – the nomination process
Anyone working in the lighting field with a knowledge of the lighting design market may submit their nominations for the eight Award categories (Award at Large, Lifetime Award, Award for the Best Partner in Industry, Award for the Best Project, Award for the Best Daylight Project, Award for Research, Award for Education, Award for the Best Newcomer). Those submitting nominations are requested to nominate one candidate per category. All nominations and justifications for choice will be compiled and presented to the PLDR Award jury, comprising: the Chair of the Steering Committee, two lighting designers, one architect and one representative from the Industry.
