Dark dilemmas

How can we achieve sustainable solutions for lighting urban spaces? What are the obstacles, the dilemmas and the challenges, and how do we deal with them? Is it at all possible to consume less energy, or is sustainable lighting just a nice idea that we throw out as a marketing tool more than a goal that is actually possible to achieve? The speaker will elaborate on these questions and share some experiences she made when working in urban spaces.

Kristin Bredal is a set and lighting designer based in Oslo, Norway. She acquired her Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design in 1994 at Yale University. Kristin Bredal is the founder and owner of Zenisk, a design firm specialized in lighting plans for public spaces, architectural lighting design and exhibition design.
