Real Monasterio de San Lorenzo del Escorial lighting project

The monastery and site of the Escorial in Madrid is one of the architectural masterpieces of the XVI century. Its austere architecture, which marked a break with previous styles, had a great influence on Spanish architecture for more than half a century. The audience will learn about the complete and complex lighting project of one of Spain’s most important artistic heritage buildings.

Victor Barbero has a background in electrical engineering, in which he acquired his Master degree in 1973. After his studies we was appointed the Director of Electric Installations at Iberdola S.A. From 1995 onwards he has been the Principal of the Lighting Design Department at Iberdola S.A.
