Urban Space 2.0: towards a convivial, animated city

New generations and dwellers want to have an immediate impact on their environments. This is a new trend resulting from web 2.0, interactive games and smartphones. We want to be connected, Urban space 2.0 proposes an approach to link lighting to a city’s' vibes and brands. The paper will address public behaviour, and technical and artistic challenges, but also include research references. The speaker will propose a new vision, and a tool that can add an "unexpected" experience to the conventional lighting approach.

Trained in photography, Sakchin Bessette founded Moment Factory in 2001. Over the years, Sakchin has been a close collaborator to the Cirque du Soleil creative team participating actively in the creation and production of several projects such as the Beatles Revolution Lounge at the Mirage in Las Vegas.
