All that glitters is not gold

This paper and presentation are designed to give the lighting design community a different perspective to working in the Middle East. It is a brief insight into the issues involved when working on projects in the Middle East and how to avoid difficulties and problems before they occur – as seen from the different perspective of an agent, shared with real on-the-ground experience.

Mark Vowles has a background in Industrial Design and Technology. Before moving to Qatar/UAE in 2009 to work for the Debbas Group as the Project Manager, Mark worked for Remote Controlled Lighting for five years in the field of International Sales and Marketing as well as Project Management.
