New energy saving techniques in heritage lighting

The presentation will be based on two urban lighting projects, completed between 2010 and 2011. The two projects address the topics of sustainability, energy saving, and the research and development of new lighting fixtures which embrace the most innovative technologies. But the two projects have been solved using different, highly original approaches.

Raised in Nice in the cinema world, Louis Clair, ACE, PLDA pursued technical studies, developed a leaning towards industry and became a mechanical and electrical engineer. He became technical director of the cinema studio in 1968 and founded a specialised sales’ organisation in decorative and architectural lighting   He founded Light-Cibles in 1983, the first independent professional lighting design practice in France, and was involved in the expansion of leading Italian and German lighting manufacturers as a marketing consultant in Europe.
