About transparency

After studying different examples of contemporary architecture and how they interact with daylight, Giovanni Traverso decided to analyze “transparency“ and what it is that is suspended between vacuum and material, light and architecture. The paper will include a different perspective of the concept of transparency, and how to apply it in architecture.

Giovanni Traverso, PLDA graduated in Architecture at IUAV, Venice and in 1994 decided to specialize in lighting. He went on to gain his MSc in "Light and Lighting” at the Bartlett School, University College of London, and in 1996 he founded the design practice traverso-vighy together with Paola Vighy.
