Ascona: night light sets made by natural daylight

Ascona, a town on Lake Maggiore in the Italian part of Switzerland, decided they wanted to illuminate their lake front incorporating different light scenes. The lighting concept does not only develop in response to a certain colour of natural light, but according to the way the human brain perceives space. Francesco proposes a solid case for Urban Lighting with the application of a totally new concept that is destined to be a revolution in this field.

Francesco Iannone, FPLDA graduated in Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and joined the Italian Ordine degli Architetti. Today he is a lighting designer and one of the founding members of PLDA, of which he is currently the president. One of his most well-known projects is the Formula 1 Circuit in Shanghai, China. Together with his wife, Serena Tellini, Francesco Iannone has his own design practice in Milan: Consuline.
