British Airways First Class Cabins - LED lighting and control strategy
The market for high-quality premium long-haul flights is very competitive, and price tends to be less of a factor against the quality of the product provided. Lighting is a key ingredient in how the passenger experiences the flight. Our intention was to avoid any obvious gimmicks, but to concentrate on a sound thought through solution to the problem of making long-haul flights enjoyable. The speaker will elaborate on the design process and hurdles the team came across when working on this extraordinary project.
Adam Weir graduated from Kingston Polytechnic in 1986 and has over 24 years experience in architectural lighting design. He is currently working as a Senior Designer at Studio Fractal on a wide variety of architectural schemes from large commercial projects to small-scale high-profile art-based projects around the world.
