PLDC traditionally offers three defined tracks and one variable track – depending on the current market situation and interest, the location of the convention, and recent developments in technology. 

For PLDC 2013 the Steering Committee investigated the general interest of the lighting community and defined Sustainable Lighting + Design as a topic.
